ROVERS were on the wrong end of a masterclass in finishing from Halesowen hotshot Dean Brennan at the Victoria Ground tonight.
The forward struck a sensational hat-trick, including one from the penalty spot, after Aaron Cornwall had given the Yeltz the lead.
However, after being played off the park for the first period, the Greens came back into the match with two goals from Luke Reynolds.
Young goalkeeper James Cook was in inspired form on his debut for Rovers, producing a string of reaction saves.
The pick of his saves came from Mark Danks' close-range volley, while he also had to be alert to beat away Justin Rowe's effort.
But the Yeltz' pressure finally told on 24 minutes.
Cornwall gathered the ball on the left and had a clear run into the penalty box, before squeezing a shot into Cook's bottom left hand corner.
First-half substitute Brennan made it two, rattling the top corner with a screamer from the edge of the box.
He grabbed his second from an almost identical position just before half-time, this time delicately lobbing Cook.
Brennan completed his hat-trick from the spot within seconds of the restart, blasting home a penalty which was awarded for an infringement by Gary Knight.
But Rovers hit back with a wonder strike of their own, courtesy of Reynolds.
The former Kidderminster Harriers forward beat Nathan Vaughan with a deft 20-yard chip.
Reynolds caught Jay Denny in possession and neatly tucked away his second nine minutes from time.
