A forward who had 4 spells at the Rovers between 1984 and 2003.
Mark played for Redditch United in the 1983-84 season, before joining Rovers. Bobby Hope gave him his debut coming off the bench against Redditch United in the Southern League Cup in September 1984. But, he was unable to cement a regular place in the starting line-up
He left the Rovers and played for Evesham United, before spending the next few years at Alvechurch.
He re-joined the Rovers for a second spell during the 1989-90 Southern League Premier campaign. He was a key member of the team that won promotion to the conference in the 1991-92 campaign whilst also playing in the F.A. Cup first round tie with Bournemouth. He played regularly the following season when Rovers were runners up in their debut season in the top flight on non-league football. While in the 1993-94 season he was part of the finest ever F.A. Cup run by a Rovers side. He played in victories over Northampton Town, Yeovil Town before scoring in the biggest game in the history of Bromsgrove Rovers, the third round 2-1 defeat to second tier Barnsley, at that time managed by England legend Viv Anderson.
He joined Macclesfield Town at the start of the 1995/96 season, where he was signed by former Northern Ireland and Manchester United star Sammy McIlroy who was managing Town at the time. However, his time at the Silkmen was shortlived, he was loaned out to Stafford Rangers before joining Solihull Borough in December 1994.
He re-joined Rovers for a third spell at the start of the 1995-96 Conference campaign. He played 2 more seasons with Rovers in the Conference where he again played in the F.A. Cup first round, this time in a 1-0 defeat to Cinderford Town and captured the Worcestershire Senior Cup and Conference League Cup in the 1995/96 season.
At the start of the 1997-98 season he moved on to Cheltenham Town. He also had a spell at Moor Green.
He re-joined Rovers for a final time in 2001, but by now his opportunities were limited and he played his last game for Rovers against Barwell in the F.A.Cup preliminary round on 3 September 2002.
He died on 3 October 2024.
