A forward, who played for the Rovers from 1945-1952, a very successful era for the club. During this period they won the Birmingham Combination and the Worcester Senior Cup twice as well as reaching the First Round of the F.A. Cup.
He was described by Joe Wainwright as one of Bromsgrove Rovers most accomplished players ever.
He first appeared at outside left in the first two matches of the 1946/47 season. He was then left out of the side but after scoring freely in local football for Bretforton he was bought back into the side as a centre forward before making the inside right position his own during the very successfull "Jubilee" season, where Rovers were celebrating 50 years of membership of the Birmingham Combination. The won the league, the Worcestershire Senior Cup and reached the final of the Birmingham Senior Cup. Eddie played in both finals
He left the Rovers in 1952, joining Evesham. He had to retire prematurely in 1963 with a degenerative nerve condition. He passed away in 1966, aged just 47.
