A forward or half back, who made his debut in the Birmingham & District Junior League in January 1908.
He played for Sidemoor Social in the Bromsgrove League when not picked for the Rovers.
In the 1912/13 season he was playing for Austin Motors, before re-joining Rovers in February 1913.
He was selected to represent the county of Worcestershire against Gloucestershire on 1 March 1913, even though he was struggling to get into the Rovers side.
He was finally given a run in the Rovers first team in the 1913/14 season, and delivered a decent goals return.
He returned to the Rovers after the first World War, after having a spell playing for Bromsgrove Adult School.
At the start of the 1920-21 season he signed on to play for Bromsgrove All Saints in the Bromsgrove League. But also continued to turn out for the Rovers, where he was often captain.
He moved to Halesowen Town at the start of the 1921/22 season.
He returned to the Rovers in the 1923/24 season, but his opportunities were limited.
