A centre forward who made his debut against Bournville Athletic, in the Birmingham Combination on 25 March 1911. He had previously played for Stoke United in the Redditch League, the Rovers reserve team and the Bromsgrove Adult School in the Bromsgrove & District League.
He was never quite able to cement a regular first team place.
