He played in the last 2 games of the 1912/13 campaign.
He played in virtually every game of the 1913/14 Birmingham Combination campaign, which saw Rovers having to seek re-election.
He was called up for service in the Great War, so missed the start of the 1914/15 season.
He joined Birmingham, from Harborne Lynwood, making his debut against Grimsby Town, in wartime football in November 1916.
