A forward, who lived in Birmingham. He was described as having "a good turn of speed" He made his debut, in the Birmingham Combination, against Atherstone Town on 21 March 1914.
After almost certainly serving in the First World War he returned to the Rovers once hostilities had ceased and football resumed in the 1919/20 campaign, without ever establishing himself in the side.
He played his last game for the Rovers against Halesowen Town in September 1920.
