A left sided forward who was recommended to the Rovers by former player Harry Merrick.

He made his debut against Stafford Rangers, in the Birmingham Combination, on 27 September 1919.

He played for the Rovers for 3 seasons without ever really being a regular in the side.

He made one appearances in the Football League for Merthyr Town in 1920. He also played for Aberdare and other Welsh sides.

He was still playing cricket in 1934 where it was reported he was ibn great form for Offenham.
