...Cotton profile

A diminutive left back who made his first appearance for Rovers in November 1938, he had been playing in the Rovers Reserve side in the Redditch & District League.

Whilst playing for the Reserves he was selected to represent the Redditch Junior League in a match against Redditch Town in December 1938. He was also warned by the Worcester F.A. as to his future conduct and fined 5 shillings for fighting in a Redditch Cot Fund cup tie against Studley Rovers.

His appearances in the 1939/40 campaign were limited, possibly because he was required to undertake wartime duties under the Military Training Act.
