A goalkeeper who joined Rovers at the start of the 1927/28 season. He had previously played for Hereford United and Halesowen Town. He was rather unfortunate with injuries during his time with the Rovers.
He was knocked out following a kick in the head and also suffered a broken rib and damage to his collar bone in a match with Leamington Town at the Victoria Ground on Christmas Eve 1927.
He was signed on as a professional player at the start of the 1927/28 season.
He was first choice goalkeeper until he cracked his jawbone in a match against Leamington Town in October. After this injury he was in and out of the side, battling for the keepers jersey with E.G. Smith.
His brother Wilfred was also a footballer who played for Halesowen Town.
Away from football he worked at the Auston Motor Works.
