A left back, who was originally from Frome in Somerset. He moved to Bromsgrove on account of his work, joining Rovers in October 1927. As well as playing for Frome, he had also had a spell with Exeter City reserves.
It was reported he moved away from the area in the summer of 1928, but he was soon back, returning to Rovers action in October. He had been out injured due to having 6 stitches in his leg following his bike colliding with a car.
His season came to an end in February 1929 when he broke his leg in a match against Birmingham "A" at the Victoria Ground. It was a very bad break and he was unable to return to football and in fact he took up refereeing in the 1929/30 season.
