An outside right, who was a local lad from Churchfields. He joined Rovers whilst still a teenager in April 1929. He had been playing for Crowle.
He played in the 1928/29 Worcestershire Senior Cup Final, where Rovers lost 3-2 to Worcester City.
He played in a trial match for Aston Villa Colts, against Halesowen Town in August 1929.
He was the regular outside right for Rovers in the 1929/30 season, a poor season for the Rovers. He was then in and out of the side in the following campaign.
He moved to Evesham Town at the start of the 1931/32 season. Where he was a professional player.
As a professional player he required permission to play junior football for Bromsgrove St Johns, which he was granted by the Worcester F.A. disciplinary committee at the start of the 1932/33 season.
After playing for St. Johns for a number of seasons he returned to the Rovers ranks in the 1935/36 campaign at outside-right and he nailed down this position for the next three seasons. There were rumours of his impending retirement over around Christmas 1937, but he continued playing in 1938.
He struggled to maintain his place in the side in the 1938/39 campaign, his last campaign for the club. They decided to not retain his services for the next campaign.
