...Scott profile

A half back who first appeared for Rovers in October 1931. He had been playing as a centre half in midweek football for Bromsgrove Early Closers.

He was the regular centre half in the 1932/33 season, he was one of the few players who came out with any credit in what was an awful campaign for the Rovers, where they finished bottom of the Birmingham Combination.

He was selected to play for a Rest of the Combination team to play champions Redditch Town at the end of the season. He was unable to play as he was away studying in London.

Business interests in London again took him away from the area in November 1934. He was the son of Bromsgrove jeweller W.B. Scott.

He returned to the Rovers side in the 1935/36 season, after a period of playing again for Bromsgrove Early Closers, featuring in both the half back and forward lines.

His appearances in the 1936/37 campaign were limited.

He also played cricket for Bromsgrove
