A tricky winger, from Allens Cross, who first appeared for Rovers in October 1937.

He was the younger brother of Rovers 1930s goal scoring sensation Norman Lacey.

After one season at Rovers he moved to Catshill Village Hall.

During the Second World War he played, alongside his brother Norman, in the Kings Norton & District League for the Austin.
