In October 1926 he represented the Stourbridge and District side in a match against a touring Worcester Massachusetts side, Stourbridge triumphed 5-2.

At the end of the 1926/27 season he was involved in trials to represent Worcestershire on an American tour, but failed to secure a place on the trip.
