A 5 foot 10 inch half back who joined Rovers as a 23 year old at the start of the 1926/27 season. He had previous experience in the Birmingham Combination and has also played for the representative side of the Birmingham Works Association.

He could not get in the side in the 1927/28 season, despite this he was chosen to represent the Birmingham Combination in a match against a combined Walsall side which celebrated the towns tercentenary in October.

After leaving the Rovers he played for Kings Heath in the Birmingham Amateur League in the 1928/29 season. However, he returned to the Rovers at the end of that season.

He played in the 1928/29 Worcestershire Senior Cup Final, where Rovers lost 3-2 to Worcester City.

His appearances in the 1929/30 season were very limited.
