A left back who joined Rovers in the early part of the 1926/27 season and was a consistent performer throughout the season. He had previously played for West Bromwich Albion Colts.
At the end of the season he was involved in trials to represent Worcestershire on an American tour.
He was signed by West Bromwich Albion in May 1927, but never made the first team.
In the 1929/30 season he moved to Shrewsbury Town.
