1908-1984. Birmingham born full back Vic Corbett joined Bromsgrove from Worcester City in September 1930. He was made team captain shortly after his arrival. His stay was brief and he returned to Worcester City.
He returned to Rovers in the early part of the 1931/32 season, where he was moved to the forward line in January 1932, where he banged in the goals and was leading scorer for the season. He was again made team captain.
He moved to Hereford Town, of the Worcester League in August 1932.
He then played for Hereford United in 1932, from whom he joined First Division Manchester City in 1933. Corbett made his Football League debut against Arsenal in a 1-1 draw at Highbury in September 1933 and played 5 more games that season, one in the FA Cup. He didn’t appear again for Manchester City and after being released in 1935 joined Southend United, however he played only once for The Shrimpers in a defeat at Reading in May 1936 before returning to Midlands non league football with Brierley Hill Alliance that summer.
