A Bromsgrove lad who was a right back. He made his first appearances for Rovers in November 1928.He made that spot his own for the rest of the season. He was unfortunate to miss the Worcestershire Senior Cup final, against Worcester City with injury.
A nasty illness put him out of action in the 1929/30 season, until he regained fitness in January. He struggled to hold down a place in the back line in the 1930/31 season.
