A centre forward who first appeared for Bromsgrove under player-coach Frank Moss in January 1930. He had played local football for Droitwich Athletic.
After a couple of games for Rovers, where he had scored 3 times, he moved to Kidderminster Harriers in the higher ranked Birmingham League.
He returned to the Rovers in December 1930, where he was back amongst the goals, and was leading scorer for the 1930/31 season.
Despite banging in the goals again in the following season he lost his place in the side in January 1932.
In the 1932/33 season he played for Droitwich Reserves in the Worcester League, and in the 1933/34 season he was still banging in the goals, this time for Droitwich W.M.C. It was reported he netted 18 goals in 7 games and eventually finished up with over 50 goals for the season.
