An outside left who moved up from the Reserve side side to the first team in September 1930.
He also played for West Bromwich Albion Colts in October 1930. From November onwards he was ever present as Rovers outside left.
He left Rovers in January 1932, joining Atherstone Town, where he stayed until the end of the 1933/34 season.
