A half-back who joined Rovers in December 1931. He had been playing Birmingham Works League football for Lucas.
He was sometimes made captain at the end of the 1931/32 season.
In a match against Walsall LMS towards the end of the season he was sent off for fighting, alongside the Walsall captain E. Burns. In an enquiry by the Worcestershire F.A. in the close season he was deemed to the be the aggressor and was fined 7s 6d and was banned for a month beginning at the start of the next season.
He was again sometimes captain in the 1932/33 campaign.
