A forward who first appeared for Rovers at the tail end of the 1937/38 season. He had been playing for Oakengates.
He played a handful of games for Rovers in the 1938/39 season. Later that campaign he played in the Worcestershire Combination for Wrockwardine Wood.
He was the brother of fellow Rovers forward Eric Houlston.
